🌿 Meet the Bosses! 🌿
We've gained quite a few new members to our Bobs Gas Facebook whānau over the last few weeks, so we reckon it's about time we introduced you to our super cool directors!
Most of you will already know them, and you've probably seen them around town. But if not, say kia ora to Ron and Louise 👋
When they're not helping keep the wheels turning at Bobs Gas, you'll often find them giving back to our local community in all sorts of ways. Their latest adventure? Taking part in the Ōtanewainuku Kiwi Listening Survey 🍃
This wasn't exactly a stroll in the park either...
🌲 1 hour walking into the ngahere
🌙 2 hours sitting quietly in the dark
👂 Listening for kiwi calls
🥶 Providing valuable scientific data while slowly turning into human popsicles
The survey is helping gather valuable information about our local kiwi population, and this was the first survey of its kind in around 25 years!
We're pretty lucky to have directors who are passionate about supporting the communities and environments we call home.
So next time you see Ron and Louise out and about, be sure to give them a wave... although if they're sitting quietly in the bush at midnight, maybe don't. The kiwi might not appreciate it! 😆
