It starts with one thing out of place. Then suddenly, my office corner looks like this… a magnet for everything that doesn’t belong.

Clutter is really just delayed decisions — little piles left for your future self to figure out. And honestly? Sometimes the future self feels overwhelmed.

That’s me right now. I’ll be tackling this corner with my partner because doing it together feels lighter.

If you’ve got a pile (or five) that you avoid, you’re not alone. It doesn’t mean you’re lazy or failing — it means you’re human. And sometimes, we just need a hand to work through it side by side.

That’s where I come in. If you’re ready to make a start, I’d love to help.

Fun fact about me, I live on a dairy farm, so also milk cows and rear calves. July and August are very busy months for farmers so my availability for decluttering and organising is limited. But I can't help myself and found a massive project I can chip away at each day while the calves drink their milk.

The routine is always changing, but we are through the thick of it, and I'll have more time for clients.

What areas in your place hasnt been touched in a while and has cobwebs building?

You might not need decluttering help right now — and that’s totally okay.

But maybe you know someone who’s:
🏡 Moving house
📦 Downsizing
🌀 Feeling completely overwhelmed by stuff

If someone in your world comes to mind, I’d love it if you pointed them my way. A gentle nudge in the right direction can make all the difference when it feels like too much to tackle alone.

I’m here when they’re ready.

Matariki — a time to pause, remember, and reconnect.

This photo is me at about 10 years old, proudly wearing temporary tamoko on my face. I didn’t fully understand the weight of it back then — I just knew it felt important.

Now, as I grow into my own rhythm and identity, it feels like the perfect moment to reconnect — with my inner child, with my māoritanga, and with the parts of me I’ve been making space to honour.

In Te Ao Māori, Matariki marks the New Year. A time for reflection, remembrance, and quiet intention-setting.

This year, I’m asking:
What am I making space for — not just in my home, but in my whole life?

If you’re reflecting too, I’d love to know — what are you letting go of, and what are you making room for as this new year begins?

Ever heard of body doubling? It’s one of those simple things that can make a massive difference — especially if you struggle with focus, decision fatigue, or just getting started.

Body doubling is when you do a task alongside someone else — either in person or virtually. You don’t need to be working on the same thing. Just having someone there helps you stay present and follow through.

It’s not about being told what to do. It’s about not feeling alone with it all.

This kind of support can be especially helpful for:

Anyone with ADHD

Anyone overwhelmed by clutter

Anyone who’s been stuck in “I’ll get to it soon” mode for weeks (or months)

Sometimes, just knowing someone’s gently keeping you company while you sort a pile, clear a bench, or make a few decisions is exactly what you need to get going.

Would you be keen to give body doubling a go?

Let’s settle this once and for all...

When the game’s over, are you the type to
✨toss everything in and close the lid before anyone notices or
✨pack every piece neatly into bags and containers?

I’ll admit, I couldn’t find a properly chaotic example... because even my “messy” version is still one of my own games. Some habits die hard.

Flamecraft, family, and an afternoon well spent.

Lately, I’ve been leaning back into my love of boardgames and tabletop games — not just the old favourites like Skip-Bo, Cluedo, and Scattergories (though they still have a place in my heart), but exploring new, beautifully designed games that pull you into whole different worlds.

Someone joked that your 30s are when you circle back to the things you loved as a kid — but now you’ve got adult money and zero shame. Honestly? That feels pretty true.

There’s something grounding about sitting around a table, phones off, snacks close, learning a new game together. It reminds me that joy doesn’t need to be big or busy — just shared.

What’s a game you’ve loved recently — or one that brings back good memories?

Some people relax on holiday with a book or a beach walk... I sorted the boardgames at the family bach.

It’s a shared space that lots of people use, so I had to be thoughtful — not just about what made sense to me, but how to make it easier for everyone to find (and return!) things.

Even though I was technically "off," it genuinely brought me joy to bring some order to the chaos. My mind felt calmer, the shelf looked lighter, and I could finally see what my options were.

Progress doesn’t always happen at home — sometimes it shows up in unexpected places when the clutter gets in the way of the fun.

What's one small area, in your life, the clutter is in the way of the fun?
