A bright, sunny spring morning…
There is something about spring that makes me want to stop, look around and reassess.
What am I giving my time to?
What actually matters?
What do I want more of in my life - and what perhaps needs a little less of me?
We are all busy, and sometimes looking after ourselves becomes another thing we promise we will get around to “later”.
So I’m trying something simple this spring:
10-10-10 for Life.
10 minutes to meditate - be still, breathe and quieten the noise.
10 minutes to move - walk, stretch, exercise, dance… just get the body moving.
10 minutes to journal - write, reflect, be grateful, work out what is going on in that head of yours.
That is only 30 minutes out of 24 hours.
And perhaps those 30 minutes might help us live the other 23½ hours a little better.
There is already a well-known 10-10-10 idea about looking at decisions across time (look it up yourself). I’m borrowing the numbers for my own little spring reset: 10 for the mind, 10 for the body, and 10 for reflection.
And please - ask me whether I’ve done mine too! 😂 I don’t want to write a lovely post about it and then quietly slack off.
Maybe we can keep each other accountable.
Spring is a beautiful reminder that we can begin again - not by changing everything overnight, but by doing a few small things consistently.
“You don’t always need a new life. Sometimes you just need 30 intentional minutes to come back to the life you already have.”
