Congratulations to all of the Bayleys Whanganui , Bayleys Manawatū, Rangitikei and Horowhenua and Bayleys Ruapehu team members on their recognition at the Bayleys Regional Awards last Friday.

With teams attending from six offices across these five regions, it's fantastic to see their work celebrated and success recognised.

Bayleys Regional General Manager Rachel Thompson said, "This night was about our people. It’s a chance to acknowledge the effort, commitment, and results that have come from every corner of our business over the past year. Just as importantly, it’s an opportunity to get together as a team, celebrate our successes, and say a genuine thank you to each and every one for the part they play in our business."

Director John Bartley said he was proud of the team Bayleys has across their region, "The level of professionalism, care for clients, and consistency of performance continues to set us apart. Nights like this are a great reminder of what we can achieve together."

This NZ Design Week visit to GDM Good Design Matters was a chance to demonstrate our focus on connected industry: combining our Group's design, specialist manufacturing technology and local expertise to help businesses grow and adapt.

From design‑led thinking to advanced fabrication and logistics support, it’s all about creating opportunity, strengthening capability and backing our communities.

We're very grateful for this opportunity facilitated by the Whanganui UNESCO City of Design team. Showcasing the output of Whanganui's highly productive manufacturing industry is an opportunity we're always up for.

Whanganui’s UNESCO City of Design story is reaching a growing audience, and we’re proud to see one of our businesses in the spotlight.

GDM is featured in this UNESCO City of Design video - in fact, the opening shot is one of our high-tech lasers at work. You can also see jewellery cabinets and shelving GDM designed for Te Whare o Rehua Sarjeant Gallery featured in the video.

We're happy to see GDM will be one of the stops on Auckland Design Week's first regional programme, with designers travelling from Auckland to experience “Aotearoa’s Design City” firsthand in March next year.

GDM’s design-led manufacturing work shows how thoughtful fixtures and retail environments can elevate everyday spaces and experiences. It’s a great example of the creativity, innovation and connection that sit at the heart of our wider Bartley Group businesses.

This promotional video, developed by economic development agency Whanganui & Partners, is destined to promote Whanganui design nationally and internationally through UNESCO's Creative Cities Network.
