🌀 STAY SAFE & PROTECT YOUR TECH 🌀

With the cyclone approaching, please take care of yourselves and your gear! To help prevent hardware damage from power surges or outages, here are a few quick tips from the team at RD3 Tech:

🔌 Unplug Non-Essentials: The only 100% way to protect your gear from a massive surge is to physically unplug it from the wall. This includes computers, monitors, and especially your internet routers!

🛡️ Check Your Surge Protectors: If you keep devices plugged in, make sure you're using a dedicated surge protector (not just a standard power strip).

👉 Pro-Tip: Check the "Protected" LED light on the unit. If that light is out or red, your protector has "sacrificed" itself during a past surge and is no longer protecting your gear!

🔋 Charge Up Now: Get your phones, laptops, and power banks to 100% while the grid is stable.

📱 Power Save Mode: Switch your mobile devices to ‘Low Power Mode’ early, to stretch your battery life as long as possible.

These small steps can make a big difference in safeguarding your equipment. Stay safe, stay dry, and look after each other! 🤝

Please take care of yourself and your tech.
Unplug and turn off any devices or computers over night. Break out any surge protectors if you have any and use them. Charge any battery packs too.
These small precautions will safe guard your devices in case of power cuts.

A strong password prevents intruders from accessing your network. A guest network lets visitors use Wi-Fi without touching your private devices.
