A Message of Gratitude and a New Chapter
After 22 years, the time has come for us to step away from ARC Security Solutions and hand over ownership to Matt Watts and Brocke Reti.
When we moved to Northland from Australia in 2004, we were starting from scratch. Armed with Andrew's years of experience in the security industry, a second hand van, and plenty of determination, we set out to build a business and a future for our family.
From Invoice No. 1 to more than 66,000 invoices later, what we could never have imagined was where that journey would lead.
Over the past two decades, ARC has grown from a one person operation into a trusted provider of integrated security solutions for some of Northland's most significant organisations. We have been privileged to work with clients including Whangārei District Council, Northland - Health New Zealand across multiple sites including Whangārei Hospital, Bay of Islands Hospital and Dargaville Hospital, Northport, Marsden Maritime Holdings, Culham Engineering, and many other valued organisations throughout the region.
Together with an incredible team, we have had the privilege of contributing to projects that have helped shape Northland. Seeing our work become part of facilities such as Semenoff Stadium, the Jim Carney Cancer Treatment Centre, the Hundertwasser Art Centre, hospitals, council facilities, ports, industrial sites, and critical infrastructure has been a source of immense pride for us.
While we are proud of the projects we have delivered and the business we have built, what stands out most when we look back are the people.
To every member of our team, past and present, thank you. Your hard work, loyalty, commitment, and friendship helped shape ARC into the company it became. We have been fortunate to work alongside some truly exceptional people, and many have become lifelong friends.
To our customers, thank you for the trust you placed in us. From the families and small businesses who supported us in the early years, to the large organisations who entrusted us with some of their most important assets and facilities, every customer has played a part in our journey. Many of those relationships have spanned decades, and we are deeply grateful for the confidence and support you have shown us.
To our suppliers, contractors, and business partners, thank you for standing alongside us throughout the journey. Your support has been invaluable.
We have also been proud to support the communities that supported us. Whether through sponsorship of Kamo Rugby Club, the Northland Taniwha, local schools, charities, community groups, or fundraising initiatives, giving back has always been important to us. Northland welcomed us when we arrived more than two decades ago, and we have always felt privileged to be part of this community.
The decision to sell ARC was not one we made lightly. This business has been a huge part of our lives and our family's story for more than 22 years. However, we are incredibly proud to be passing it on to Matt and Brocke.
Over the past year, we have worked closely with them and have seen firsthand their commitment to the team, the customers, and the values that have always been important to ARC. We know they will continue to build on the strong foundations that have been created and lead the business into an exciting future.
As we close this chapter, we do so with immense pride, gratitude, and confidence in what lies ahead.
To everyone who has been part of the journey, thank you. We will always be grateful for the opportunities, friendships, support, and memories that came from building ARC Security Solutions together.
