Latest and greatest Fillet knife!

Made with 12c27 Stainless and the blade coming in at 8 inches long. Such a great steel, I will definitely just use it moving forward as it is such a forgiving steel to work with. Brass bolster (of course) with Rewarewa timber scales backed with a blue G10 liner and Brass pins. Such an interesting wood to use, look at and learn about. Makes useless firewood, but a great looking handle! Thank you to the customer for supplying it, all I had to do was cut it out and apply it as I normally would.

Feeling absolutely F-d off and ripped off. Don't ever buy one of these. The blade keeps popping out. The Platten on it is like a politician - looks good on paper only. It can't even handle 2mm steel. It has just been a nightmare to use and re-set all the damn time. I bought it brand new from Machineryhouse.com.au for 1500nzd and I'll tell you for free to save your hard earned cash and not buy it. Save up, avoid machinery house and be happy in your job or hobbies. The only thing more useless than this machine is the actual Sales staff you have to deal with at Machinery house. None of them know a lick of anything about the machinery they sell. 1 ⭐️ out of 5 ⭐️. F-cking absolute junk.

Here is a Filleting knife design I have been working on, a few adjustments to make to the design, but the new owner is happy with it nonetheless. This one uses a sandvik steel, has aluminum bolsters and green rose wood handle with red G10 liners. If I was to adjust the design I'd likely add more to the blade length than what I do have currently. Was a challenge getting back into make a Fillet knife... they require a lot more care and attention to get the blade right... this one didn't quuuiiiite get their, but is still sufficient in flex to work. Onto the next one!!!
