🎉 Welcome Back & Congratulations, Anneka Sprangers! 🎓

The team at Planners Plus Limited is thrilled to welcome back our extraordinary team member, Anneka Sprangers — and to congratulate her on a major achievement!

Anneka officially became our newest qualified planner after graduating on October 14th with a Bachelor of Environmental Planning from the University of Waikato.

During her studies, Anneka focused on resource management, sustainable development, policy, and human geography. Her academic excellence and dedication shone through with numerous accomplishments, including:

🏅 Pro Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Academic Excellence (twice!)
📈 A consistently high A/A+ grade average
🌍 An international exchange to Cardiff University in Wales
🥈 Runner-up for the 2024 Reginald Hammond Scholarship from the New Zealand Planning Institute (NZPI)
🌟 Became a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society (awarded to students in the top 15% of their chosen discipline)

Anneka first joined Planners Plus as an intern in 2023, and in 2024 completed her final semester abroad before taking a well-deserved travel break. We were thrilled to welcome her back to the office this month — and just in time to celebrate her graduation!

Anneka recently attended her graduation ceremony and shared that it was a truly special and memorable occasion. 🎓✨

Exciting News for Anneka Sprangers!

We are thrilled to announce that our exceptional student planner, Anneka Sprangers, has embarked on a new adventure! For her final semester of study, Anneka has seized the opportunity to participate in a student exchange at Cardiff University in Wales. This exciting journey is made possible through the prestigious Taith Funding, a Welsh government initiative supporting students who are undertaking international academic experiences.

Anneka will be at Cardiff University from September 2024 to January 2025, where she will immerse herself in a range of interesting subjects:

Planning Theory
Practice, Sustainable Transport
Mobilities: Travel, Tourism, and Communication

While we will certainly miss Anneka’s presence in the office, we are eagerly looking forward to her return and hearing about her enriching experiences. We wish her all the best in this new chapter of her academic and personal journey.

Meet our newest team member, Anneka Sprangers - Student Planner.

Anneka commenced working with Planners Plus Limited in October last year and has been a highly valued asset to the team.

Anneka is currently studying at the University of Waikato achieving an A/A+ average across all papers thus far and is in her final year of study. She has received numerous accolades for her high achievements which include:

- Making the Pro Vice-Chancellor’s List for Academic Excellence; (this is considered most prestigious as it is reserved for the undergraduate and postgraduate students across the Division with extremely high Grade Point Averages.)

- Being awarded a member of the International Golden Key Society which recognises students in the top 15% of their chosen discipline;

- Most recently, being invited to the NZPI Annual Awards where she received a highly commended certificate for the Reginald Hammond Scholarship.*
(The NZPI / Reginald Hammond Scholarship is awarded to students in their final year of study for an accredited planning degree (NZ).)
