TALLY SHIFT SUPERVISORS

The Tally Shift Supervisor ¾ (TSS ¾) is the leading person of the Tally Operations Department during his shift. He is aware of his own role, higher management’s expectations and the tasks which have to be executed by his team. Typically a TSS ¾ will spend time on supervisory activities outside on the terminal and he will execute administrative activities in the terminal office.

The TSS ¾ will Consolidate, dispatch, prepare, execute, monitor and control the tally operation. He wil finalize the Consolidated Shift Planning and when deemed necessary he’ll adjust or reschedule the terminal tally operations. The TSS ¾ will have an eye for improvements.

The TSS ¾ will report to the internal stakeholders as well as to external parties involved in the vessel, Yard and Gate operations.

By coaching, training and performing as a role model, he will motivate and inspire his team members and maintain an accurate vessel tally process and contributes to a smooth operation.

The TSS ¾ has a function in randomly checking the Gate / Yard / Vessel Tally for data quality control and improvement.

The TSS ¾ has knowledge of operational processes, locations, procedures and administration.
