🌿🇵🇦 Agradecimiento por la invitación al Congreso de Investigación sobre la Cultura Ngäbe-Buglé 🇵🇦🌿
Desde Soluciones Turísticas Sostenibles (STS) expresamos nuestro profundo agradecimiento a la Universidad Tecnológica OTEIMA, a través de su Dirección de Investigación y del Centro de Estudios Interculturales Ngäbe-Buglé (CEINB), por la honrosa invitación a participar como ponente en el Congreso de Investigación sobre la Cultura Ngäbe-Buglé, realizado con gran éxito ayer, 13 de septiembre de 2026, en la sede de OTEIMA, David, Chiriquí. 🙏🌿
Fue un verdadero privilegio compartir este espacio de diálogo, reflexión e intercambio de conocimientos en torno a la ciencia, la cultura, los saberes ancestrales y las experiencias comunitarias.
Durante nuestra participación desarrollamos la ponencia:
🎤 “El valor del patrimonio biocultural para un turismo con enfoque regenerativo en la Comarca Ngäbe-Buglé”,
destacando la importancia de reconocer el patrimonio biocultural como un activo vivo de los territorios y como fundamento para promover procesos de desarrollo turístico que respeten, valoren y fortalezcan la identidad cultural, los conocimientos ancestrales, la biodiversidad y el protagonismo de las comunidades.
👥 El encuentro contó con la valiosa participación de aproximadamente 40 personas, entre ellas 23 mujeres, incluyendo 3 niñas, así como una importante representación de población Ngäbe, con 7 mujeres Ngäbe y 5 hombres.
🌎 Estos espacios nos recuerdan que el turismo con enfoque regenerativo no consiste únicamente en visitar territorios, sino en comprenderlos, respetarlos, aprender de sus culturas y contribuir a que sus valores naturales y culturales se fortalezcan y permanezcan para las futuras generaciones.
👏 Nuestro reconocimiento y agradecimiento al M.Sc. Manuel Vega De Gracia, Director de Investigación de OTEIMA, al equipo de la Dirección de Investigación, al CEINB y a todas las personas que hicieron posible este importante encuentro.
Seguimos creyendo en el poder de la interculturalidad, el patrimonio biocultural, la bioalfabetización y la participación comunitaria como caminos hacia un desarrollo verdaderamente sostenible y regenerativo. 🌱🤝🏽🌎

From Sustainable Tourism Solutions (STS), we would like to express our deepest gratitude to OTEIMA Technological University, through its Directorate of Research and the Ngäbe-Buglé Intercultural Studies Center (CEINB), for the honor of inviting us to participate as a speaker at the Congress on Research into Ngäbe-Buglé Culture, held with great success yesterday, September 13, 2026, at the OTEIMA campus in David, Chiriquí. 🙏🌿
It was a true privilege to share this space for dialogue, reflection, and knowledge exchange around science, culture, ancestral knowledge, and community experiences.
During our participation, we presented the following:
🎤 “The Value of Biocultural Heritage for Tourism with a Regenerative Approach in the Ngäbe-Buglé Comarca”
We emphasized the importance of recognizing biocultural heritage as a living asset of territories and as a foundation for promoting tourism development processes that respect, value, and strengthen cultural identity, ancestral knowledge, biodiversity, and community leadership.
👥 The event brought together approximately 40 participants, including 23 women, among them 3 girls, as well as an important representation of the Ngäbe population, with 7 Ngäbe women and 5 men.
🌎 These spaces remind us that tourism with a regenerative approach is not simply about visiting territories, but about understanding and respecting them, learning from their cultures, and contributing to the strengthening and preservation of their natural and cultural values for future generations.
👏 We extend our recognition and gratitude to M.Sc. Manuel Vega De Gracia, Director of Research at OTEIMA, the team of the Directorate of Research, the CEINB, and everyone who contributed to making this important gathering possible.
We continue to believe in the power of interculturality, biocultural heritage, bio-literacy, and community participation as pathways toward truly sustainable and regenerative development. 🌱🤝🏽🌎
