Translation and interpretation are not only about translating a sentence from one language into another language. A good translator understands the sense and nuances of the original language and conveys them into the target language, often using different words and expressions; hence, translates cultures. Very simple: Translation is written, interpretation is oral. The latter may be simultaneous -

which usually requires equipment- or consecutive. Both are educational, dynamic and very fulfilling!

El editor "edita o adapta un texto": lo corrige, lo mejora. Pero no tratando de cambiar el original, sino tratando de mejorar el escrito, respetando la esencia y estilo del autor -o la traducción que se ha hecho- a fin de que parezca menos una traducción, sino un texto inicialmente escrito en el idioma destino. El editor debe cumplir con "las cinco C": dejar el texto claro, correcto, conciso, comprensible y consistente. Para ello, corregirá los errores de ortografía, gramática, puntuación, interpretación y otros que pueda haber cometido el autor o traductor, y aplicará o unificará el estilo.
