Consciousness.

There are various signs indicating that the Earth's natural environment is changing toward unfavorable direction for species, which is highly suspected to be connected with human activities. In the last century, people all over the world have realized the severity of environmental issues. In the long history, Chinese ancient had already development good rules and methods to reach balance between economic development and environment sustainability. This paper will discuss how environmental concepts forms and which methods could be applied in the future.

1. Don’t be ashamed to speak English.

There is only one way to learn how to speak English, and that is to open your mouth and speak English! The only way you will ever get better at speaking is by speaking, and speaking a lot!
You can make excuses for why you don’t want to speak, like saying that you’re too embarrassed to speak, but these won’t get you any closer to your goal of achieving English fluency. It doesn’t matter if you have no vocabulary, or if your pronunciation isn’t perfect, you need to open your mouth and speak if you want to improve.

Whatever you do, don’t say that you can’t speak English because this will become a self-fulfilling prophecy. By believing that you can’t speak English you close your mind to trying, and never give yourself the opportunity to improve. The only way to improve your English is to practice it, no matter how bad you may or may not be at it.

¿Algo "polémico" en inglés?

This is one of those special words in Spanish that improved my English when I learnt about it! When I first heard my students saying this word in English, my instinct was to correct them because it was not a word that I had heard in English before. My students would say something like: "It is a very "polemical" situation" or "It is very polemic".

My recommendation, in this case, is that in English it is better to use the word "controversial" and overall I still think this is true. I have, however, now had the time to look up the word in the dictionary and have seen that it can be used in English albeit in a more formal situation!

Five reasons to learn English:
