With the majority of global movable heritage housed in storage rather than on display, and institutions facing growing space constraints, improving access is no longer optional; it’s an ethical and practical imperative.

Four distinguished panelists will share their perspectives on what meaningful access looks like today, highlighting the evolving responsibilities of conservation professionals and the opportunities ahead for more open, inclusive, and sustainable access to cultural heritage.

En Kullasiri comenzamos este 2026 conservando abanicos, les compartimos información sobre el primero de ellos hecho con Nácar :)

Este abanico es una pieza que une arte y funcionalidad, elaborado con nácar —la madreperla de moluscos como ostras y abulones— cuyo brillo iridiscente les da un encanto único.
Su creación es un trabajo minucioso: cada varilla se talla y p**e a mano a partir de conchas seleccionadas por tamaño y color.
Con siglos de historia en Asia y Europa, estos abanicos no solo refrescan: han sido símbolo de elegancia, lujo y estatus, y hoy siguen siendo piezas codiciadas por coleccionistas y amantes de la artesanía.
