Express Freight Management continues to support IEA College of TAFE for their students’ on-the-job training.

We are pleased to acknowledge Daniel Pavuo for successfully completing his 3-month traineeship with our IT Department at our Lae branch.

During his time with us, Daniel demonstrated exceptional diligence, technical aptitude and professionalism in supporting the department’s operations. His roles involved assisting in installations, configurations and maintenance of software and hardware systems as well as providing technical support to staff and customers regarding IT equipment.

Last Friday, our IT Team and Branch Manager, George Savitski with his remarks formally farewell Daniel, thanking him for his input and wishing him the best in his next journey.
Daniel also expressed his gratitude for the opportunity, stating his satisfaction in acquiring new practical skills and thanked EFM for the experience.

🇵🇬EFM CELEBRATES PNG’s 51st INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY | LAE BRANCH🇵🇬

On Tuesday 15th September, our EFM Lae employees and their managers proudly gathered to celebrate Papua New Guinea’s 51st Independence Anniversary.

The EFM offices were transformed with red, black and gold decorations- balloons, PNG flags. Staff proudly wore national colours, while some donned traditional bilas representing their provinces.

The celebration began with the raising of the PNG flag. As the flag was hoisted, all staff stood to attention and sung the National Anthem, followed by the National Pledge – a moment that reminded everyone of unity, loyalty and service to the nation.

Wrapping up with ceremonial cake cutting and many group photos capturing big team smiles among staff. At EFM, we’re proud to be a logistics and freight forwarding company operating in this great nation.

In logistics industry where working environment is fast paced with constant movement, tight operational deadlines and rapid changes, we are ready to face risks and emergencies.

On Sunday, 6th September, 15 staff from our Lae Branch attended Fire Warden Training, led by Lae Fire Brigade, PNG Fire Service. Trainees undertook both theory and practical exercises to ensure they understand fire safety concepts and could execute them correctly during an actual emergency.

The training reinforces our commitment to providing a safe and secure working environment for all employees.

EFM Supports Days for Girls

In partnership with Days for Girls, Express Freight Management delivered four pallets of hygiene kits to its local team here in Lae, Morobe Province.
By handling the logistics, this helps increase access to menstrual care and education for women and girls, ensuring every woman and girl receives a Days for Girls kit.

“EFM Staff undergoes Client Service &Time Management Training”

On Saturday 8th of August, about twenty EFM staff successfully completed the Client Service and Time Management courses. The training was facilitated by one of our long-standing contract facilitator, Sony McWilliams.

Sony highlighted how staff client service and time management skills can have a profound effect towards our staff’s professional career, EFM’s business operations, our customers, clients and partners.
Trainees were engaged in interactive discussions on real-world scenarios encountered in the workplace where client service and time management is fitting for optimized operations.

Client service and time management trainings remain as one of the key courses the company provides for efficient and quality service to all our clients.

Express Freight Management continues to facilitate IEA College of TAFE students with avenue for on-the-job training internships.
On Monday 3rd August, we welcome onboard the second TAFE student trainee for this year.
Daniel Pavuo will be attached with our ICT Team for two months, learning and assisting in help desk duties. Providing real-time ICT support, answering queries, and resolving technical issues for the staff and EFM as a whole.
After completing on-the-job training, Daniel will have real industry work experience and ICT technical skills gained with EFM for a successful career going forward.

“EFM Farewells TAFE Student Trainee”

Express Freight Management continues to mentor IEA College of TAFE students for their On-the-Job training programs.

EFM is happy to host Esther Lua who have joined us at Lae office for her 8 weeks OJT program with our ICT Department. During OJT program with us, she has gained hands- on experience in learning a lot of new technical skills. Esther appreciated the opportunity to be expose to a professional working environment.

On Friday 12th June, during her farewell with ICT Team, our Lae Branch Manager, George Savitski acknowledged Esther for her input towards EFM. And on behalf of the ICT team, he wished Esther the best in her journey, as she grows in her field with the experience gained from the company.

Express Freight Management Renews Sponsorship for EFM Kamkumung Crushers

We are so thrilled and proud to announce, Express Freight Management (EFM) has reaffirmed its strong commitment to Lae’s Rugby League by continuing as the official sponsor of EFM Kamkumung Crushers since 2022. This year, we have renewed our support with another sponsorship such as the new player jerseys, training kits, and both club and players registration fees.

EFM Lae Branch Manager George Savitski officially presented the new jerseys to the club, acknowledging the positive involvement of young people in sports, particularly rugby league. He emphasized EFM’s strong interest and ongoing support for rugby in Lae. On behalf of EFM management, Mr. Savitski affirmed that the company will continue to support the club and expressed confidence in the team’s ability to defend their reigning title this season.
