EFM was established on the 10th April 1989 with the simple purpose of providing freight forwarding services to the local importers/exporters of Lae, Papua New Guinea. Since EFM establishment, EFM has grown and expanded the business portfolio from freight forwarding to include
export forwarding of agricultural commodities, Ship’s Agency, Transport Services, Custom Clearance and Brokering, Logistics and Distribution services, Custom Bonded warehouses, Express Courier and Air Freight Services. Today EFM operates bonded licenced container depots, empty container parks with a fleet of 120 vehicles and a staff of 300+. Along with its service expansion, the EFM Shipping Agency was introduced in 1990 to cater the requirements and demands of vessels calling PNG Ports (Lae Port, Port Moresby and outports) and the Solomon Island (Honiara Port). With the rapid growth of the EFM Ship Agency under the tutelage of our head office in Lae, EFM provides services in various ports of Papua New Guinea: Basamuk Port, Madang, Kimbe, Rabaul and Oro Bay.
