📣 We are thrilled to announce that during the YLCCI Networking Event on Thursday, 21st May 2026, there will be a brief speak out presentation by the In-Country Support Service - Pacific Engagement VisaSupport Service Papua New Guinea, to shed light towards the Pacific Engagement Visa (PEV) and the services provided by the In-Country Support Service.

The Pacific Engagement Visa is an Australian permanent residence visa for eligible citizens of participating countries and Timor - Leste, including Papua New Guinea. Through a ballot system, selected applicants and their families may have the opportunity to live, work, and study in Australia, while supporting stronger between Australia and the Pacific region.

We have made the difficult decision to postpone the YLCCI networking event for the month of April 2026, to a later date.

Your experience is our priority, and we want to ensure we deliver the best event possible.

⭐️ YLCCI Networking Event Recap ⭐️

On Thursday, 12th March 2026, YLCCI held its second networking event for the year at Lae Yacht Club. YLCCI had seen a growing number of interested young professionals as each events are being held. This recent event records by far the most attendees to date; we had industry leaders right across to career explorers who have attended.

Valuable life insights have been shared as speeches presented by Mr Benjamin Raepa of Goodman Fielder PNG and Mr Aidan Toua of Ruswin and DS Energy PNG.

“Always stay grounded in purpose, success is meaningful when we contribute to things that are bigger than ourselves” said Benjamin.

Aidan also shared in best possible ways his experiences and traits as an elite rugby union player were applied towards running his operations in business.

We would like to thank and acknowledge the support of our event sponsors and their teams; Lae Biscuit Company Ltd, Swift Agencies (PNG) Ltd and Goodman Fielder PNG.

Goodman Fielder PNG was the sponsor for their new Flame merchandise which were presented as prizes to the lucky draw winners for the evening. Congratulations to all the attendees that have won something from the lucky draws! 🥳

🚨EVENT UPDATE - Second Postponement

Please be informed that there has been a second postponement towards the YLCCI Networking Event posted earlier today.

It was initially scheduled for Thursday 26th February 2026, postponed to Thursday 05th March 2026, but will be further postponed to Thursday 12th March 2026.

We understand that this can be disappointing and we sincerely apologize. We also thank you for your patience and understanding.

Due to the public holiday on Thursday, 26th February 2026, we are moving the networking event for YLCCI. The new date is 05th March 2026. Please refer to the official event poster for detailed information.

⭐️ YLCCI first Networking Event for 2026 Recap⭐️

On Thursday, 29th January 2026, YLCCI hosted its first networking event for 2026 at the Lae Yacht Club.

The turn out was very promising as the event once again brought together not only professionals in the corporate world, but students and recent graduates from some of our respected tertiary institutions. The stories, the connections and the shared interest of impactful collaborations during the evening was very inspiring.

We would like to thank all the attendees, organizers and our sponsors for the January 2026 event; Lae Biscuit Company Ltd, Swift Agencies (PNG) Ltd and our bonus sponsor NCI Packaging (PNG) Ltd. We also profoundly acknowledge the presence of Brendan Chan from L&C Pacific Enterprise Ltd, who was our guest speaker and Brenton Kanowski, the Australian Consul-General in Lae, who has always been in support of YLCCI’s vision.

📣 YLCCI Networking Event Coming up!

We’re pleased to announce and welcome you to the first YLCCI Networking event for 2026.

For the first event and to kick start the year off, focus will be shifted from passive listening which normally involves an industry leader guest speaker, to a now more collaborative participating activity. This exercise is seen as a tool for healthy team bonding and practical skill building. We will have guest speakers again, starting with our second scheduled event for the year.

We had an incredible time at the first YLCCI networking event on the 28th of August 2025, at the Lae Yacht Club. The event was the first of its kind and it brought together young and vibrant industry leaders, innovators and decision-makers to get together and connect, collaborate and create.
