Steps to open an Account with Kina Bank;

1. Follow Link below to apply with your information. Ensure to apply with personal Gmail account and choose VC as your branch. The online application are self-explanatory.

2. An automated response will be sent to your Gmail account, which you need to print.

3. Take this printed form and two valid IDs (preferably valid License/Passport/NID/Birth certificate)

4. The teller will serve you with forms you need to fill from thereon. Minimum amount to open account is K10.00.

5. Once account is approved, they will give you your new Card and instructions to self-register for internet/mobile Banking services

Took me about 1.5hr to get my Card, but this is better than waiting 3 to 4 days to get paid with BSP, and not to mention their frequent system failure.

**The Internal Revenue Commission (IRC) is Cleaning Up Its Taxpayer Registry: Here's What You Need to Know**

The IRC is conducting a clean-up of its taxpayer registry to improve efficiency and ensure compliance. Here's a breakdown of what's happening and why:

**The Problem:**

- Out of 220,000 registered TIN holders, only 16% are fulfilling their tax obligations.

- Many businesses haven't paid taxes or filed returns despite having a TIN.

- The current system makes resource allocation difficult.

**The Solution: Deregistration Exercise (Not a Business Shutdown!)**

- The IRC is considering deregistering inactive TINs to create a cleaner registry.

- This is NOT intended to close down businesses, especially SMEs.

- Deregistration will be followed by a notice period for inactive TIN holders to become compliant.

**What You Need to Do to Keep Your TIN Active:**

- Businesses: File Corporate Income Tax (CIT) returns.

- Individuals: File Personal Income Tax (PIT) returns.

- Employers: Open a Salary Wages Tax (SWT) account and file returns.

- Businesses with GST or turnover exceeding K250,000: Open a GST account and file returns.

- Even if not operating, file a Nil return (CIT/PIT) annually.

**Benefits of a Clean Registry:**

- Improved resource allocation based on actual taxpayers.

- More efficient tax administration for everyone.

- Promotion of fairness, compliance, and robust revenue collection.

**What the IRC Wants You to Know:**

- This is NOT a desperate attempt to raise revenue.

- The IRC has other strategies for revenue collection.
