THE BROTHERS ARE BACK | Takubar Brothers Rugby League Club

The Kokopo City Rugby League is heating up and the Takubar Brothers are ready.

The 2026 KCRL competition kicks off May 2nd with 8 teams going head to head across 3 grades โ€” A Grade, Reserves and Women's. Starting with 9s before moving into the full 13s competition, it promises to be a massive season for rugby league in Kokopo.

Club founder and Agmark Gurias assistant coach Joe Bruno is leading the charge โ€” a man who wore the Brothers shirt, went on to represent the Gurias, Hunters and Kumuls, and has now returned to build the next generation.

A special thank you to BNG Trading for sponsoring the shirts. Joe says the support means everything and it will go a long way for these young ones.
