The National Department of Health has confirmed an increase in flu cases across the country, with tests showing Influenza A (H3N2) is now circulating in Papua New Guinea. 🧪📈

👉 Important: Health authorities say this is a seasonal flu, not an outbreak — but it can be more severe for some people and should be taken seriously. ⚠️

Security Shields PNG Limited regrets to confirm a tragic incident occurred yesterday in Kimbe, where a drunk driver collided with our PNGPCL contract posting vehicle, resulting in the loss of two innocent staff lives and significant damage to our vehicle.

The driver, a foreign national, was reportedly intoxicated at the time of the accident. SSPNG holds the driver fully responsible for the damages and will ensure they meet all costs associated with the incident, including compensation for the affected families and repair of our vehicle.

"We are deeply saddened by this tragic event and extend our condolences to the families of our staff. We will work closely with authorities to ensure justice is served," said SSPNG management.

SSPNG prioritizes staff safety and will take all necessary measures to support the affected families and restore operations.
