Here is an extraordinary story of an ordinary Visionary woman who saw the need for communication Services in her village on Bipi island, Manus Province, Papua New Guinea.
We take our hats off to this simple and industrious woman, for the initiative to connect her people to the world through Excite internet WiFi Hotspot.
She is often asked if she intends to stand for Papua New Guinea's National General Elections in 2022 as per this project and she humbly responds that her motivation for setting up this project is simply two fold:
1. Since her island lacks internet connectivity she simply wanted to connect her people to the world via a reliable and sustainable internet service delivery.
2. This is also to honour her late mother who is from Bipi island and who also attended the local primary school some 60+ years ago.
We have many successful and sustainable internet setups by simple people right across PNG.
