Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea – Alleviate Inc. is proud to announce the official registration of its newest initiative, Alleviate Employment Agency, under the Business Names Act of Papua New Guinea. The agency, registered on 10 April 2025 with Registration No. 6-139388984, is now fully authorized to operate as a community-focused employment services provider.
Based at Level 1, Garden City, Boroko, Alleviate Employment Agency is the first of its kind in Papua New Guinea, targeting recent graduates with diploma and degree qualifications who are struggling to secure employment. With over 50,000 unemployed graduates in Port Moresby alone, the agency’s mission is to bridge the gap between education and the workforce through affordable training, professional development, and job placement services.
“We believe every graduate deserves a chance to launch their career with confidence,” said Camellia Liversidge, Executive Director of Alleviate Inc. “This registration marks the beginning of a new era for youth empowerment in PNG. We are committed to equipping young people with practical skills and workplace exposure to help them succeed.” It aims to secure jobs for thousands of graduates every year, starting in 2025.
The agency’s flagship offerings include a 1-day Employment Readiness Course and a 4-week On-the-Job Training (OJT) Program, "We hope to partner with the Government and donor agencies soon to subsidize the cost of our services" said Liversidge. Alleviate also works closely with local businesses to secure placements for its trainees, creating a direct pipeline from training to employment.
