The segment of the Philippine-Singapore cable that went down was restored on Saturday, Oct. 3, bringing the internet service back to normal, a Philippine-based telecommunications company said.

With this news of rerouting to their backup lines from other countries temporarily to get back on track, it seems our mainline is already restored with a lot of checks a few hours ago. Just reboot your routers to refresh your connection.

SERVICE ADVISORY

Our primary international capacity carried over the C2C subsea cable system remains unavailable, and no restoration timeline has been confirmed at this time. We wish to inform you of the current status of the mitigation measures we are undertaking.

We are actively working to secure emergency capacity with other cable systems and transit providers, with an expected timeline of 2 weeks. In parallel, we are expanding our existing local connectivity to maximize local traffic exchange and reduce reliance on international links, also with an expected timeline of 2 weeks.

Please note that these timelines are current estimates and remain subject to negotiations, provisioning, and testing.

We will provide an update on the status of these efforts as soon as further information is available, and we will continue to issue regular updates until normal service levels are restored.
