H.O.ABALOS BUILDERS INC. (HOABI), was formerly named Jolar Engineering and Industrial Sales. The business was founded by Engr.Hilario O. Abalos in 1996 and started as a trading company . On the same year, JOLAR Engineering started sub- contracting steel works for EEI corporation. In the year 2002, Engr. Abalos passed the licensure examination for Professional Mechanical Engineer afterwards, JOLAR
started accepting mechanical consultancy services and operated as partner of an intrnational industrial equipment supplier for electro-mechanical works. In the year 2009, Jolar functioned as a sub-contractor for plumbing, sanitary and fire protection for mid-rise condominiums. DTI had a Board Resolution that Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection (MEPF) is now created under specialty classification cluster. Abalos decided to apply for a contracting license under Philippine Contractor Association Board (PCAB). Then on the following year, the company was legalized as a general engineering contractor, with Category D cluster in addition to the specialized classification of Mechanical and Fire Protection work. After 3 years, Jolar was incorporated to H.O. ABALOS BUILDERS INC. HOABI streamlined its services from general engineering into specialty contracting of MEPF (Mechanical: air-conditioning, installation of building maintenance units; docking equipment; industrial lift; car parking system; rail fastening system; chain hoist), Electrical, Plumbing and Sanitary) for residential, commercial, industrial and office building development. Over the past 14 years, HOABI has accomplished several mechanical consultancy projects for various residential condominiums of prominent developers like SMDC, Ayala Land Inc., and Robinsons Land Corporation. Concurrent with these projects are the development of vertical residential buildings in areas of Laguna, Cavite,Alabang, Pasig and Caloocan.
