Shall have a construction related university degree, or hold and maintain a professional qualification, or have had training, maintain certification, and have experience in the required field of expertise and have years of experience within the civil or railway environment (where applicable).

Monitor quality standards, read blueprints and specifications, monitor operations to ensure that they meet standards inspect, test, operate electronic inspection equipment and software, accept or reject finished items, remove all products and materials that fail to meet specification, report inspection and test data.

Education and training for quality control including a designation for Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) and various levels of certification for Lean Six Sigma is a plus.
