From the colorful pulse of MassKara to the raw, unapologetic energy of street dance, Bacolod is getting ready for a showdown where every beat, move, and crew brings its own story.

Introducing MASSKAREPPIN’ — Rekta sa Kalye 2026, where festival vibes meet street culture and dancers from all corners of the city come together to represent their barangays and put their own flavor on the floor.

For Rodney Ascalon, MassKara Festival Director and a choreographer himself, dance is more than simply following the beat—it’s about expression, identity, and creating a moment that connects with the crowd.

“As a choreographer, I believe dance should tell a story. It should have energy, character, and something people can feel. With MassKareppin’, we want our dancers to bring their own identity, their own style, and, most importantly, the spirit of Bacolod.”

This isn’t just another dance competition.
