Millennials are the first generation that looked at toxic family patterns and said, “this stops with us.”

For a long time, we were raised to believe you don’t question your elders. You keep the peace. You tolerate things because “that’s just how they are.”

But a lot of millennials grew up and realized that some of the things we were told to tolerate were actually toxic.

Disrespect. Manipulation. Guilt. Emotional immaturity. Generational trauma that just kept getting passed down and normalized.

And instead of quietly accepting it like generations before us, many of us decided to do something different.

We went to therapy.
We set boundaries.
We learned to say no.
We started protecting our peace and our kids.

And yes, sometimes that means standing up to the very people who raised us.

Not because we hate them.
Not because we’re “soft.”
But because someone has to break the cycle.

Millennials are raising a generation that will know what healthy love, respect and communication look like.

And that kind of healing was never going to happen if we kept accepting toxic behavior just because someone is older than us.

The cycle end with us.

A person with severe anxiety is not like a person with mild anxiety.

A person with mild anxiety is like a deer, chased by a lion. It's just practical to go and run.

A person with severe anxiety and identity issues doesn't need to run. He's already been running because he thought he was a deer chased by a lion.

Instead he should "let the lion bite him". This allows him to understand that his fear is not real.

He's more like a caterpillar that creates a safe place for his inner self to metabolize his past hurts and self rejection.

After self metabolizes fear, he evolves his identity and grows wings.

He is now a butterfly.
May we all rise to our Inner selves. ❤️

A child doesn’t need to be in a war zone to experience combat-level stress. They just need to be in the wrong living room.
Brain imaging studies found that children exposed to frequent family conflict show threatprocessing patterns in the brain identical to soldiers exposed to combat.
The amygdala doesn’t know the difference between a bomb and a screaming parent.
This isn’t about being “too sensitive.” It’s neuroscience. Their brains are literally being rewired by conflict.
