NEGROS Occidental and Bacolod City’s target of creating at least 5,000 jobs in the health information and management (HIM) industry gets a boost as a firm based in Bacolod City was selected as one of only two training service providers (TSPs) for medical coding approved by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda).

For HIM training, Tesda partnered with MedStar Philippines Health Information Management Inc. (PHIM) as the training service provider in the province to help implement its "TulongTrabaho" Scholarship Program.

This virtual robotics competition is organized by the Office of the Governor, through Nolitc, in collaboration with Pinoy Robot Games, on August 23-26, 2021. 📅

The competition is open to all elementary and high school students of public and private schools only in Negros Occidental. Battle of Bots is an exciting game-based robotic competition that provides an opportunity for students to learn programming, designing and building the robots and solving problems in a fun and engaging way.🤖

The Philippine Startup Challenge 2021 (PSC 2021) is a startup competition which aims to encourage and support Filipinos to create innovative and relevant ICT products and services that may potentially develop into viable business ventures as well as solve social problems.

This initiative is geared towards promoting the spirit of entrepreneurship in ICT among Filipinos and to ensure the continuous creation of investible ideas and startup founders that will expand the Philippine Startup ecosystem.

The competition is open to students and professionals with software and internet-based innovations in the ideation to Minimum Viable Product stage.
