Did you know that it takes 3-6 months for rice plants to grow from seeds to mature plants depending on the variety and where it is grown? Imagine how much effort and resources are wasted if you cook more than what you can consume.
As we celebrate the National Rice Awareness Month, be RICEponsibly healthy by practicing responsible rice intake. Value every grain of rice and refrain from being “takaw-tingin”. Everyone is also encouraged to buy local rice as well as eat brown rice and other healthy rice varieties. 💙
