To all asking kung paano maging VA:

Ano bang work/position mo ngayon o ano ba mga previous works mo? Admin? Customer support? Recruiter? Teacher? Receptionist?

Sell yourself! Use Chatgpt or AI tools para ma-polish mga wordings mo sa resume and sa portfolio mo. Think of it as your presentation and proof of what you can offer.

Next, humanap ka ng client. Saan at paano?

Sa social media, Google, company websites, LinkedIn, Facebook groups, at kung saan pa may potential clients. Pwede ka rin mag-apply sa mga VA agencies, that's the most practical way kung newbie ka pa lang.

Then take action:

✅Send application
✅Send messages
✅Send emails
✅Make posts
✅Connect with business owners

Repeat the process hanggang makakuha ka ng unang client mo. Some VA Applicants target 15 or more applications sent everyday. So good luck!

I will add more tips pag may maisip ako ulit. ☺️

A real estate agent posted on Threads this week.
Two Filipino VAs quit after training. 93,900 views. 255 comments.

What she didn't mention: 10 reels a week. Full content pipeline. Commissions promised. Never paid. $200/month.

That's not a talent problem. That's a wage theft problem.
Here's what hiring a Filipino remote worker actually costs — done right:

→ PHP 20,000 gross salary (~$357/month)
→ SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG employer contributions
→ 13th month pay accrual (statutory, non-negotiable under PD 851)
→ Total employer cost: ~PHP 32,917/month (~$588)

The difference between $200 and $588? That gap is being extracted from the worker. No social security. No health coverage. No legal protection if they're dropped without cause.

The Philippines is among the world's largest English-speaking nations. Filipino remote workers power Australian real estate teams, US tech companies, and European e-commerce brands. This workforce didn't build that reputation by being cheap. They built it by being excellent.

They deserve employment structures that reflect that.
Under Philippine law, the four-fold test determines employment — not your contract label. If you control the work, set the deliverables, and direct the output, DOLE and NLRC may classify your "contractor" as an employee regardless of what your PayPal agreement says.

Misclassification isn't a gray area. It's liability.

There are three compliant ways to engage Filipino talent:
EOR (Employer of Record) — Aleph is the legal employer. Full statutory compliance. ~PHP 9,500/month per employee. No Philippine entity required.

PEO (Professional Employer Organization) — You're the employer. Aleph handles payroll, statutory filings, HR admin. ~PHP 7,500/month per employee.

CoR (Contractor-on-Record) — Genuine independent contractors with a compliant invoicing structure and documented agreements. Not a misclassification vehicle.

Global EOR platforms charge $500–600/month for Philippine coverage.

Aleph charges PHP 9,500 (~$170). Philippines-only. Eleven years in-market.

The workers who quit made the right call.

The system that made it necessary needs to change.
If you're hiring Filipino remote workers — virtual assistants, content creators, operations staff — and you're not running a compliant employment structure, you're not saving money. You're borrowing against someone else's labor rights.

Do it right. The infrastructure exists.

As a Homecare VA supporting homecare agencies in the US 🇺🇸, yes, this is my work (from home). ☺️🤟

ChatGpt prompt: Create a caricature of me and my job based from what you know about me.

I prompted this on the same thread where I ask work-related questions in my day to day operations. So alam na alam na talaga ni ChatGpt mga ginagawa ko.🤣🤣🤣
