During a recent inspection by Camp John Hay patrol guards, it was discovered that the entire RED TRAIL and a portion of the BLUE TRAIL had been transformed into makeshift race tracks. Colored ribbons were attached to tree branches and trunks using gun tackers and thumbtacks, causing damage to the trees. Additionally, excavations were found at various humps and turns along the track.

These modifications were made without the permission of the John Hay Management Corporation (JHMC) and are considered unauthorized. Consequently, the Camp John Hay trails will be TEMPORARILY CLOSED to allow JHMC to conduct a comprehensive assessment and determine how to restore the affected areas.

OOA 0900H O4 September 2024 Under the Leadership of Environment Management Division John Hay Management Corporation, the Deputy Environment and Natural Resources Officer attended the medical and physical examination was organized by the appointed Forest Rangers of Camp John Hay Baguio Ciy forested area. Overall, deputizing forest rangers can enhance their ability to protect both the environment and the public within their jurisdiction.
