BREAKING (updated): MGA BAKUNADO BATOK , MAKASULOD NA SA NEGROS ORIENTAL NGA WALAY ANTIGEN TEST —DEGAMO

Effective Thursday (November 4, 2021), fully vaccinated travelers may enter Negros Oriental without having to present any test requirements.

Governor Roel Degamo announced this in a video released on the page of the Provincial Government of Negros Oriental this afternoon, Nov. 3, 2021.

The new eased travel requirements are:

FOR FULLY VACCINATED TRAVELERS:
✅ Vaccination card
✅ Any government-issued valid ID
✅ A photocopy of both to be given to border control authorities upon arrival for contact tracing purposes.

FOR UNVACCINATED TRAVELERS:
✅ Any government-issued valid ID
✅ A NON-REACTIVE or NEGATIVE ANTIGEN test result valid for 48 hours after release of the result
✅ A photocopy of both, in one page, to give to border control authorities for contact tracing purposes.

He noted that the lifting of the test requirement had been consulted with DOH-7 regional director Dr. Jaime Bernadas.

"Ang iya lang gi-advice nako... nga ipa-monitor gyud sa nurses nga atong assigned sa (border control). They must be vigilant nga wala ba'y gahilanat o unsa nga mga (sintomas) nga mailhan nimo nga duna'y COVID," Degamo said.

The governor added that he is set to issue an executive order on the development today.

Parts of Negros Oriental, including the entire Dumaguete City, will experience a 12-hour power service interruption this Sunday, September 19, 2021, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Affected areas include Calo, San Jose up to Sibulan, Dumaguete City, Bacong, Valencia, Dauin, Zamboanguita, and Siaton.

"NGCP will de-energize its Amlan-Siaton 69kV transmission line to continue the replacement of the remaining wood poles with steel poles as part of its Wood Pole Replacement Program and correction of other transmission line defects," NORECO II said in an advisory.

NORECO II will also conduct parallel maintenance activities along the scheduled affected areas.
