❓ R.Net FAQ Time ❓
“Why is my WiFi strong near the router but weak in my room?”
This is one of the most common WiFi concerns — and it usually has nothing to do with your subscribed speed.
Here’s why it happens 👇
🏠 Thick walls & concrete – Cement, bricks, and even mirrors can block or weaken WiFi signals.
🚪 Closed doors & room layout – The more barriers between your router and device, the weaker the signal becomes.
📡 Distance from the router – WiFi signal naturally weakens the farther you are from it.
📶 Interference from other devices – TVs, microwaves, cordless phones, and Bluetooth devices can affect signal quality.
🏢 Multi-floor homes – If your router is downstairs, upstairs rooms may experience weaker coverage.
💡 What can you do?
✔ Place your router in a central, open area
✔ Keep it elevated (not on the floor)
✔ Avoid placing it inside cabinets
✔ Consider a WiFi extender or mesh system for larger homes
