The Barge Batref received its final durable protective layer at Herma Shipyard on December 12, 2025, with the high-gloss, high-performance acrylic polyurethane Hardtop XP RAL 2002 Vermillion Orange applied to the topside, and the glass flake reinforced epoxy mastic Jotamastic 90 GF Black applied to the crucial underwater area.

Last December 11, 2025, the second protective coating was successfully applied to Barge Batref at Herma Shipyard, featuring the high-performance, two-component epoxy mastic coating Jotamastic 90 Alu RT for the topside, and the glass flake reinforced epoxy mastic Jotamastic 90 GF for the underwater area.

The final surface protection is being laid down at Herma Shipyard! After addressing intensive corrosion through necessary replating, Barrier 80S was applied to the topside and Penguard Primer to the underwater section of the barge. This vessel is built to last!
