Not all donations are equal — and dignity matters.

At Telacycle, we believe that giving should uplift, not burden. That’s why we carefully sort every clothing donation, ensuring that only clean, wearable, and respectful items reach our recipients.

We kindly encourage everyone:
Before donating, ask yourself — Would I still wear this?

Clothes that are heavily damaged, unusable, or worn beyond repair take time and resources away from those who truly need support. Let’s be mindful and intentional with what we give.

💛 Donate with purpose
💛 Give with dignity
💛 Respect the people we serve

Textile biodegradability helps reduce waste. Natural fibers like cotton and wool decompose easily, while synthetic ones like polyester last much longer and add to pollution.

Make a conscious decision when choosing or buying fabrics—for a cleaner, more sustainable future.

A reminder that real change can begin with reuse, resourcefulness, and a willing heart.

From simple, reusable materials, we helped 40 families start hydroponic lettuce farming 🌱—turning what used to be discarded into a source of food and income.

Grateful to be part of this journey of hope and transformation. 🌿

Tell a cycle Cycle.

What is your story of reuse that creates CHANGE.

Proud moment to share that we’ve officially pitched our proposal here in the Philippines to the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Textile Research Institute! 🇵🇭

Rooted in local challenges and opportunities, our concept focuses on transforming textile waste into innovative materials that can be used for disaster-resilient infrastructure across Filipino communities. With the increasing impacts of climate change in the Philippines, we believe sustainable, homegrown solutions like this can help build safer, stronger, and more adaptive environments.

This initiative not only addresses the country’s growing textile waste problem but also reimagines it as a valuable resource for resilience—turning what was once discarded into something that can protect lives and livelihoods.

Crossing fingers that this turns into a closed collaboration with a national agency soon—

If God’s will, game! 🤞✨ 💡🌱

Telacycle's 1st Bearsion🧸 of upcycled teddy bear...that is Made From Hope..

Would you buy a bear stitched from second chances?

Each doll is handcrafted from donated textile scraps, washed, sanitized, and made safe for families.

✨ Every patch is cleaned and cared for.
💚 Every stitch supports a livelihood.
♻️ Every bear rescues fabric from waste.

These aren’t just toys — they’re symbols of hope created by communities who turn discarded textiles into sustainable income.

Bring one home and carry a story of resilience, dignity, and care.

Exploring new ways to give textile waste a meaningful end-of-life solution ♻️

Grateful for the inspiring time spent with Chris and Nila, Founders of RK Collective in Australia. Their work blends circular design with purpose and creative impact, and it was great to connect and discover strong synergies in our thinking and approach.

There's a strong alignment of values between what they’re doing and Tela Cycle — rethinking textile waste not as an end, but as the beginning of something meaningful.

Excited for what we might explore and create together next!

Post-consumer textile waste represents not just a material failure but a moral one.

Each discarded garment embodies more than just fabric; it signifies the water used, labor invested, communities affected, and ecosystems strained. When clothing is treated as disposable, the responsibility is quietly discarded alongside it.

Circularity must extend beyond recycling. If it fails to tackle overproduction, the dignity of labor, and local realities, it merely shifts harm elsewhere.

At Tela Cycle, we embrace a Care-Centered Circular Economy, prioritizing reuse, repair, and community-led initiatives over mere efficiency metrics. Circular systems should uphold human dignity, support local livelihoods, and respect ecological limits.

Waste is not an inevitability; it is a choice influenced by the systems we create. The focus should shift from how quickly we recycle to how well we care.

Grateful for the opportunity to visit UNSW Australia and learn more about their work in textile upcycling and sustainability 🌱

Had inspiring discussions with experts on circular economy, textile innovation, and how we can create greater impact through collaboration. Special thanks to Ms Emma Peters, (Lecturer and PhD Candidate in Art & Design exploring circular design pathways for textiles), and Ms Alana Clifton,( Educator and Academic in Fashion and Textile Design, renowned for her innovative and sustainability-driven approach to design education.)

It was truly valuable to exchange ideas and experiences—from research to real-world application.

Looking forward to possible future collaborations and partnerships, and excited about how we can work together across regions to advance textile upcycling. 🇦🇺🤝🇵🇭
