𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐎, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal, BFP Masbate, the personnel of Balud Fire Station, led by SFO1 Eldrin R Cadiz, Officer-in-Charge, attended the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony at Palani Integrated School.

The weekly flag ceremony serves as a reminder of our commitment to public service, discipline, unity, and patriotism. It also strengthens our dedication to protecting lives and property while providing emergency services to the community.

Under the leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐉𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐎 𝐅 𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐆, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, Regional Director of the Bureau of Fire Protection Region V, and under the direct supervision of 𝐅𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐅𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐈𝐒 𝐁 𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐎, 𝐑𝐂𝐑𝐢𝐦, Provincial Fire Marshal of Masbate, Balud Fire Station led by SFO1 Eldrin R Cadiz, OIC-Municipal Fire Marshal, personnel of Balud Fire Station,participate in the 2nd Semestral Municipal Development Council (MDC) Meeting and the 3rd Joint Quarterly Meeting of the Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC), Municipal Task Force–ELCAC, and Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) at the Balud Municipal Hall, Poblacion, Balud, Masbate.

This meeting serves as an important avenue for strengthening coordination and collaboration among local government officials, department heads, barangay leaders, law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders in promoting peace, order, public safety, and sustainable community development.

Through the sharing of updates, discussion of current issues, and formulation of appropriate strategies, the BFP remains committed to supporting initiatives that protect lives and properties, maintain public safety, and ensure a safer and more resilient community.

📷 𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒: Under the leadership of FCSUPT JUNITO F MASLANG, DSC, Regional Director of the Bureau of Fire Protection Region V, under the direct supervision of FCINSP FRANCIS B CASTILLO, RC, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal of Masbate, and led by SFO1 Eldrin R Cadiz, Officer-in-Charge, the personnel of Balud Fire Station conducted a Fire Safety Inspection and distribution of Fire Safety Leaflets as part of the Fire Safety Awareness Campaign.
The activity was conducted in Barangay Poblacion, Balud, Masbate, where personnel carried out inspections and distributed Fire Safety Leaflets to further increase the residents’ awareness on fire prevention and safety measures.
The activity aimed to provide the community with essential information regarding common causes of fire and the simple measures that can be taken to prevent its occurrence.
Among the important reminders were to exercise caution when using electrical appliances, avoid plugging multiple appliances into a single outlet, regularly inspect extension cords and electrical connections, and ensure the safe use and proper storage of LPG.
The importance of properly storing flammable materials, keeping the surroundings clean and orderly, and ensuring that doors, passageways, and other potential exits remain unobstructed in case of fire or other emergencies was also emphasized.

Under the leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐉𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐎 𝐅 𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐆, 𝐌𝐁𝐀, 𝐌𝐏𝐌, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, Regional Director, BFP Region V, and under the supervision of 𝐅𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐅𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐈𝐒 𝐁 𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐎, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal, BFP Masbate, the personnel of Balud Fire Station, led by SFO1 Eldrin R Cadiz, Officer-in-Charge/Municipal Fire Marshal,
Balud Fire Station Personnel conducted inspection and continuous monitoring of gasoline
stations and various retail facilities within their area of responsibility to ensure strict
compliance with applicable fire safety and hazardous materials standards, particularly in all
fuel storage areas. The activity focused on verifying the presence and serviceability of fire
protection equipment, proper storage and handling of flammable substance, clear
emergency exits, and adherence to prescribed safety protocols. Establishment owners and
staff were also reminded of their responsibilities in maintaining a fire-safe environment and
were given guidance on preventive measures to minimize fire risks. Furthermore, this
initiative aims to maintain situational awareness by continuously monitoring the peace and
order situation and ensuring public safety, especially in relation to the ongoing oil price
increase, which may pose potential risks and concerns within the community.

The activity aimed to ensure that all firefighting equipment, rescue tools, and emergency vehicles are maintained in good and operational condition to sustain a high level of operational readiness and ensure a fast and effective response to fires and other emergencies.
Regular care and proper maintenance of our equipment are essential parts of being always ready to serve and protect our community.
