"IT'S FIRE PREVENTION MONTH"
LPGTP simple advice, just in case:
Do not attempt to extinguish the LPG fire unless the source of leak can be cut off. If there is no way to stop the leak the best method is CONTROLLED BURNING of leaking gas, as it prevents the accumulation of unburned gas forming a flammable mixture, increasing the risk of explosion due to static ignition.
The application of sufficient quantity of water keep the cylinder cool and will allow the fire totally consume the leaking gas without risk of causing bleve.
Water cooling should be continued on the affected cylinder even after the fire has been extinguished until all the hazard of re-ignition has been eliminated. - AND
