In spite of what some may think, the life of a true professional social media manager involves much more than messing around on social platforms all day long. The best social media managers have a finely tuned skill set that's taken them a long time - and a lot of work - to perfect.
Here's some of the biggest misconceptions about social media management, and what the truth is behind these myths and misunderstandings.
✔️In reality, aside from being brand marketers, producing quotes and graphics for posting to increase social media presence, there’s this advance planning and implementation and then measuring results.
✔️Social media for business is quite a bit different from when we use it to look at friends’ photos. SMM makes a good marketing strategy. To achieve brand awareness, we must strike a balance between creativity and well-planned tactics.
✔️When done incorrectly, social media can do far more damage to a brand than not having a social media presence at all. Social media management necessitates a successful strategy so that the company can quickly analyze and determine whether it is worthwhile to continue paying for the campaign.
✔️When you're a social media manager, you've got a company's entire brand image in your hands. That means big money, that's a high pressure position that demands results and a constantly evolving campaign strategy.
✔️This is perhaps the biggest fallacy of them all, you have to divide the time into the buckets of scheduling, monitoring, and growing to drive traffic. A SMM should have a fairly strong handle on how to manage social media marketing efforts and reach the goals.
❓Do you have any other myths in mind❓ We'd love to hear about it.
