🛡️ SAFER SCHOOLS THROUGH STRONGER SECURITY 🏫📹
We support the call for stronger security measures in our schools.
CCTV systems can play an important role in helping schools monitor strategic areas, enhance situational awareness, and provide an additional layer of protection for students, teachers, staff, and the entire school community.
At CISAS: CCTV - Computers & Services, we believe that reliable security starts with proper planning, professional installation, and a well-maintained surveillance system.
A safer learning environment is a shared responsibility. Let’s continue to promote security, preparedness, and protection in our schools.

SAFER SCHOOLS THROUGH STRONGER SECURITY 📹🏫
The Department of Education (DepEd) is encouraging schools to install closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras in strategic areas as part of strengthened measures aimed at protecting learners, teachers, personnel, and other members of the school community.
Under DepEd Order No. 006, s. 2026, or the Guidelines on Ensuring a Safe and Motivating Learning Environment (ESMLE), schools are encouraged to place CCTV cameras in areas including entrances, hallways, classrooms, and outdoor spaces to enhance security and help monitor activities on campus. The cameras should also undergo regular maintenance, while recorded footage must be securely stored for future reference.
The acquisition of CCTV cameras and other security equipment may be facilitated through Schools Division Office procurement or coordination with local government units and other stakeholders, subject to existing government procurement, accounting, auditing, and budgeting rules.
CCTV installation forms part of a wider set of school-safety measures under the order. These include visitor identification, entrance bag inspections using authorized non-contact methods, vehicle inspections, controls on prohibited items, security personnel, incident-reporting systems, and strengthened Child Protection Committees.
The policy also harmonizes existing learner-protection measures, including DepEd Order No. 40, s. 2012, or the DepEd Child Protection Policy, which seeks to protect children in schools from abuse, violence, exploitation, discrimination, bullying, and other forms of harm.
Importantly, the CCTV provision is an encouragement rather than a blanket mandate to install cameras. The broader goal is to strengthen prevention and response mechanisms while creating learning environments where students can feel safe and protected.
