Collaborating with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, competitive prices, and reliable delivery schedules.
Maintaining accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other relevant data.
Coordinating with various departments to fulfill purchase requests efficiently.
Monitoring and tracking shipments to ensure timely deliveries.
Identifying cost-saving opportunities and suggesting process improvements.
Occasionally, the Purchasing Assistant may be required to visit supplier stores or locations to purchase materials/items as needed.
A valid driver's license is a definite plus, as it may be advantageous for tasks that involve transportation.
