On July 4, 2026, in celebration of International Cooperatives Day 2026 with the theme, "Cooperatives: for a Peaceful World," the LGU-Bolinao Multi-Purpose Employees Cooperative (LGUBMPEC) marked the occasion by visiting one of its community projects that plays a significant role in ensuring the safety and enhancing the beauty of Subor, a cold spring located in Sitio Guiguiwanen, Barangay Luciente 1st, Bolinao, Pangasinan.
Subor is one of Bolinao's oldest tourist attractions, welcoming thousands of visitors each year and creating countless happy memories for families and tourists alike.
The STEPS Project of LGUBMPEC was funded through the proceeds of the Fun Run held on March 22, 2025. Through this project, the cooperative continues to demonstrate its commitment to community development and environmental stewardship.
Our cooperative extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported and participated in the Fun Run, to UPMSI for allowing us to implement the project, and to the Barangay Council of Barangay Luciente 1st for its invaluable assistance—from financial support to the construction and completion of the project.
Together, we continue to uphold the cooperative spirit by creating safer, more beautiful, and more sustainable communities.
