Even as recovery efforts continue following the Magnitude 7.8 earthquake in Mindanao, the country's fuel supply chain remains resilient.
All fuel depots and LPG refilling plants in the affected regions continue to operate, helping ensure the uninterrupted availability of petroleum products for households, businesses, transport services, emergency responders, and critical facilities.
While a limited number of fuel facilities remain temporarily unavailable as post-earthquake inspections and safety assessments continue, the vast majority of fuel stations across the region remain open and serving the public.
The Department of Energy continues to work closely with oil industry stakeholders, local government units, and emergency response partners to support restoration efforts, monitor fuel inventories, and ensure that energy services remain available where they are needed most.
