Can you recall the times in your life when someone asked you, "What's your talent?" Growing up I had a hard time answering this question.

At the age of 5, I know I can't sing, it was confirmed when my Lola heard me sing the National Anthem. "Yabag ka mo kanta" (you're out of tune) my Lola would say. So from then on I knew that it would only be my husband who'd encourage me to sing Adele's Chasing Pavements over karaoke. 😅 I am not a dancer either. I can follow certain dance steps. Zumba yes, but I know I'm not a natural. I tried playing musical instruments as well, starting with piano. When I was in Grade 3, my Lola got me a piano teacher but my sched was probably my teacher's nap time that she would sometimes doze off during our lesson. I learned to read notes but I eventually got tired of playing the same piece over and over again. It was Ten Little Indians that up until now I've memorized its notes (do-do-do-do-do-do mi-sol-sol-mi-do) and can still play it on the piano. So eventually I got bored and told my Lola I don't want to continue with my lessons any longer. I also tried learning the guitar but I was limited to songs with the G-D-C-D chords. Drawing and Painting, nah I paid my classmate/friend to do those projects/assignments for me when I was still a student. Baking, yep tried that one too but I really did not enjoy it.

Fast forward during my late twenties, I discovered that I'm good at creating things with my hands. Yes, I've discovered that I'm good with crafts and I was able to come up with products, sell them and make profit from it. So it was making perfumes that the story of epic party favors began.

Up to today my greatest fulfillment when doing a project is not that I made a sale but finding joy seeing my creations and hearing good reviews from my clients.

Epic party favors is a never ending search of what am I good at. Exploring, trying, discovering, hustling... After all every soul is an artisan.

Throwback to the time when Tropical Depression Vicky brought heavy rains and caused floods and landslides over some parts of Caraga. While on the road, I was not really thinking much of our vehicle as water can wreak havoc on a car but was praying hard that we'd be able to make it at the venue ahead of our call time. I was that optimistic that no flood could stop me from keeping my commitment to my client.

Prepping and putting up a fragrance bar for any event can sometimes be stressful but I'd always find it fulfilling once I'd see how excited the guests to claim their perfume giveaway.

Shout out to Joan of Beloved Wonderland who kept her poise and looked so calm and cool troubleshooting before and during the event. The couple as well as their guests really enjoyed the reception program. 🙂
