There are contingencies a business can never foresee. Who would have thought, a whole wing of a mall would close down because of an earthquake. Yes. I think what makes me an effective business consultant is the fact that I have businesses too.
October of 2025, our world shook. literally. Walls fell down and glasses broke. 4 of my businesses in Robinsons Butuan suddenly closed. And with it are the livelihood of our employees.
As the captain of the ship, I know I would go down with them. And the first order of business is to see them, pacify and be proactive.
Somehow, at the time, I was still grateful we had another set of branches in the SM Mall. We did some shifting. But ultimately, after 2 months, we know Robinsons was far too deep in the need for rectification of their business.
This set comprise my Food Industry Department. Looking at it now, it really does break my heart to know that around half of them I had to transfer to my retaining clients so that we cam all survive.
This is but one of the silent battles an entrepreneur faces. But we are built for resilience. And I am still grateful for the Almighty's providence and guidance for wisdom.
Fight on! Live on!
