I missed my “artist self.” 🎨

Yung version ko na kayang magpuyat para lang matapos ang isang design…
yung matiyagang naggugupit ng maliliit na detalye…
yung feeling magaling sa calligraphy (kahit minsan hindi pantay 😅)…
at yung binubuhos ang dasal at pagmamahal sa bawat birthday card, thank you card, at kung anu-ano pang greeting cards na ginagawa ko noon sa loob ng convent (2010–2019).

Sa katahimikan ng gabi, papel at gunting lang ang kasama ko—pero punong-puno ako.
Walang pressure, walang comparison… basta ang alam ko lang, masaya ako. 🤍

Then life happened.

Nagbago ang takbo ng buhay.
From creating with passion… to working for survival.
From slow, intentional nights… to fast-paced days na kailangan kumita, kumayod, magpakatatag.

Bilang isang nanay at provider, hindi pwedeng hindi gagalaw.
Hindi pwedeng puro “passion” lang, kailangan may income, may stability, may pangarap para sa anak ko.

And slowly… akala ko nawala na yung part na yun ng sarili ko.
Akala ko, natabunan na ng responsibilidad.
Akala ko, hanggang alaala na lang siya.

Pero hindi pala.

Tahimik lang siyang naghintay. 🌿

Hindi siya nawala—nag-evolve lang.
Hindi siya nawala—nag-adjust lang sa bagong season ng buhay ko.

Today, iba na ang tools ko.
Hindi na papel at gunting… kundi laptop at digital tools. 💻

Pero alam mo kung anong hindi nagbago?

Yesterday, I experienced something na sobrang simple lang naman pero mahalaga sa mundo ng business and it really got me thinking about professionalism, respect, and how small interactions can define your brand.

My sister asked me for a favor, she wanted me to inquire sa isang newly established resort because I was one of the people who recommended it to her before. I thought, of course, I’ll help!

So I sent a very basic question:
“Good day! How much po ang rent?”

Simple. Polite. Normal.

But instead of a professional reply, this is what I got:
“Hoy Gloria, wag kang pa-epal.”

Yes. You read that right.

At first, I was more surprised than offended. Kasi as someone who works behind the scenes for businesses and runs my own small venture, I know how valuable every single inquiry is.

Behind every message is a real person.
Someone who took the time to reach out.
Someone who might actually become a client.
Someone who might even refer your business to others.

And honestly?
I hope this is not the way you treat other clients.
If it is… I don’t think your business is in good hands.

One simple inquiry can either open doors… or quietly shut them forever.

As a Virtual Assistant, managing communications - emails, DMs, inquiries, customer conversations- is part of my daily life. And here’s one truth I always remind the businesses I support:

I pray we all win in life. 🤍

Kasi sa totoo lang, life itself is already hard.
Hindi natin alam ang bawat pinagdadaanan ng isa’t isa. We all have our own struggles, responsibilities, and silent prayers. Kaya instead na magkumpara, I choose to pray for others. Instead na mainggit, I choose to celebrate small and big wins, kahit hindi pa sa akin.
Right now, I am just grateful for these simple moments with my little family.

Hindi man perfect ang buhay, hindi man madali ang journey, but being here with them while we slowly build our dreams… step by step, prayer by prayer… is already a blessing.
We are not in a race with anyone.

Sarili lang namin ang gusto naming talunin, yung version namin kahapon.

We are just moving at our own pace.

Trusting God.
Working hard.
Showing up every single day kahit pagod, kahit minsan natatakot, kahit hindi namin alam ang mangyayari bukas.

Because this is real life.
Not always beautiful.
Not always easy.
But full of love, faith, and hope.

One day, we will look back at these moments and smile.
We will remember the struggles, the sacrifices, and the small beginnings.

And we will say, “Lord, thank You. You never left us.”
So to every mom, every provider, every dreamer, every hustler out there…

“Mahirap maging babae.”

Ikaw yung magbubuntis.
Ikaw yung manganganak.
Ikaw yung magpupuyat.
Ikaw yung mag-aalaga.
At kadalasan… ikaw pa rin yung magtatrabaho.

When I got pregnant, yes, I paused.
I had no choice but to pause for a while. Kinailangan kong i-give up ang trabaho ko.

Not because I wasn’t passionate.
Not because I wasn’t capable.
But because I chose to fully embrace my most important role — being a Mom.

But here’s what they don’t always tell you…

Hindi porket huminto ka, hanggang doon ka na lang.
Hindi porket naging nanay ka, tapos na ang pangarap mo.

I paused, but I never quit.
Hindi pwedeng sumuko — dahil may isang batang umaasa sa akin.

Now I work habang may batang sobrang clingy sa akin.
Working on my laptop habang may isang batang panay ang tawag ng “Mommy, look!” sa gilid.
Doing tasks habang may toys sa paligid.
Hinahabol ang deadlines habang may anak na inaalagaan.

Messy? Yes.
Exhausting? Very.
Worth it? Always.

Patuloy na pagsusumikap para iparanas ang mga simpleng bagay na makakapagpasaya sa anak ko —
mga bagay na akala ko noon ay pang mayaman lang.

Simple dining out.
New experiences.
Learning opportunities.
Happy memories.

Hindi man engrande.
Pero pinagpaguran.
Pinagdasal.
Pinagpuyatan.

Hindi ako perfect mom.
At malayo pa sa buhay na pinapangarap ko.

But I am a Hustling Momma.
Building dreams while holding my son’s hand.

My life was never easy.

I didn’t grow up with financial security.
No safety net.
No generational wealth.
No one to rescue me when things get hard.

But then I became a mother.

And everything changed.

When you become a mom, you don’t have the luxury to stay broken.
You can cry at night, yes.
But in the morning, you get up and you fight again.

That’s how Hustling Momma VA started.

Not from comfort.
Not from abundance.
But from responsibility.
From pressure.
From faith.

Today, I assist clients virtually — PSA, SSS, BIR, TIN, PhilHealth, admin tasks, layouts, and whatever my clients need that I can learn and deliver. I didn’t start as an expert. I started as someone willing to learn, willing to try, and willing to work.

that’s my child’s insurance secured.
