Teen Hero Awarded Scholarship After Saving 50 Lives in Typhoon Tino
Fifteen-year-old Jayboy Magdadaro has been hailed as a hero for saving over 50 residents during the floods caused by Typhoon Tino in Villa Lara, Jubay, Liloan.
Barangay Mabolo Captain Daniel Francis Arguedo personally awarded Jayboy a Plaque of Recognition and a full scholarship that will cover his education from high school to college, along with a *3K* monthly allowance.
A resident of Sitio Fatima, Jayboy bravely used a lifebuoy and a small boat to rescue elderly residents, pregnant women, and children—after first ensuring the safety of his own family.
Now a Grade 9 student at Liloan Integrated School, Jayboy says he dreams of becoming a policeman, inspired by the courage and compassion he displayed during the storm.
