The DTI through the Negosyo Center-Caibiran conducted it's first out three LSP-NSB in the Municipality of Caibiran for C.Y. 2021 in Brgy. Alegria, Caibiran, Biliran on 24 March 2021.
A total of 56 participants face to face,16 potential and 40 new/existing MSMEs of Brgy. Alegria participated in the said activity.
The implementation of the LSP-NSB started with a welcome message by Alegria Brgy. Captain Hon. Alfredo V. Rosario Jr. It was facilitated by STIDS/CARP Liza Tan ,Negosyo Center-Caibiran Business Counselor Albert L.
Tambis, together with NCBC- Cabucgayan Rosie G. Abatias.
The LSP-NSB is a program that allows a wider reach of business development assistance by bringing government services closer to the people through partnerships between relevant local government units (LGUs) and DTI.
Through the Barangay Development Councils (BDCs),the DTI shall help capacitate Barangay personnel to provide basic business advisory or information dissemination services to MSMEs in the locality.
Also,the DTI - in partnership with the national government agencies,local government units,academe,non-government organizations,private sector,and through the Negosyo Center-shall promote ease of doing business and provide access to development services for Micro,Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through Business Counselors in their area of responsibility.
The Negosyo Center-Caibiran will be implementing similar activity in Brgy. Maurang on April 2021 and May 2021 in Brgy. Binohangan, Caibiran, Biliran.

The DTI-Biliran Provincial Office through the Negosyo Center - Caibiran distributed a total of 65 Livelihood Seeding Kits under the Livelihood Seeding Program-Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB) and Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) in the Municipality of Caibiran last 01October 2020.

The initial distribution consisting of Sari-Sari Store packages were done in the Municipality of Caibiran in the presence of Local Chief Executive.

During the distribution of kits in Caibiran, Municipal Mayor Hon. Rhodessa D. Revita, in her welcome remarks, encouraged the MSMEs to give their best efforts to be able to sustain their businesses, especially in this time of the pandemic. She also thanked the DTI-Biliran as well as the Negosyo Center-Caibiran for implementing such programs for the micro-entrepreneurs.
The activity were headed by the OIC-Provincial Director Jorge D. Modesto and SupTIDS Rebecca M. Cormanes, together with NCBC-Naval Lelibeth N. Sison and NCBC-BILIRAN Jessamine B. Bracamonte. Also present in their respective municapalities,and abcourse the host NCBC-Caibiran Albert L. Tambis

A total of 65 MSMEs in Caibiran received the Sari-Sari Store packages for both LSP-NSB and PPG for PPG 43 beneficiary and NSB 22 beneficiary,each kit amounting to PhP5,000.00.

Other types of livelihood packages will be distributed soon as well as the distribution of the livelihood kits for MSMEs engaged in food processing, carenderia, appliances repair, fish vending, and others.

The LSP-NSB is a program that allows a wider reach of business development assistance by bringing government services closer to the people through partnerships between relevant local government units (LGUs) and DTI.

On the other hand, the PPG is a livelihood seeding and entrepreneurship development program for microenterprises, with priority in areas affected by fire incidents and other calamities. This shall also include other health disasters such as pandemics, individuals, and enterprises in NCR who have voluntarily moved to identified rural areas under the Balik Probinsya Program to establish or relocate a microenterprise.

The beneficiaries of the LSP-NSB were identified based on the list of qualified MSMEs who attended the series of LSP-NSB training conducted this year by the Negosyo Centers in the Municipality, while the beneficiaries of the PPG are those MSMEs who were affected by Typhoon Ursula and fire incident last 2019.

The DTI through the Negosyo Center - Caibiran conducted its third and last LSP-NSB in the Municipality of Caibiran for C.Y. 2020 in Brgy. Tomalistis, Caibiran,Biliran on 26 August 2020.

A total of 42 potential and 58 existing MSMEs of Brgy. Tomalistis participated in the said activity.

Negosyo Center-Caibiran Business Counselor Albert L. Tambis served as the resource person for the one day activity, assisted by NC-Biliran Business Counselor Jessamine B. Bracamonte,and Negosyo Center Business Counselor Cabucgayan Rosie G. Abatias.

The LSP-NSB is a program that allows a wider reach of business development assistance by bringing government services closer to the people through partnerships between relevant local government units (LGUs) and DTI.

The participants who attended have expressed their gratitude for the conduct of LSP-NSB in their barangay.
“Dakong tabang ang DTI tungod kay karon nga panahon, pandemic, aduna silay mga programa nga ilang gipanghatag ngari sa barangay, ug adunay makatabang sad sila sa mga katawhan labi na sa kadtong mga nagnegosyo nga naundang, ug sa mga bag-o pud karon nga nagbusiness", said Marlon R. Bohol,Brgy. Captain in Tomalistis one of the participants.
[DTI has helped us a lot, specially now that we are in this pandemic, they have programs for our barangay and they are also helping those establishments which are temporary closed, and those who just recently started their businesses.]

The Negosyo Center-Caibiran already implemented the same activity in Brgy. Cabibihan, Caibiran, Biliran last 19 June 2020, and in Brgy. Kaulangohan, Caibiran, Biliran last 16-17 July 2020.

NC-Caibiran has achieved its target for the year 2020 to conduct LSP-NSB for 3 Barangays in the Municipality.
