I AM AN EVENT / SOUNDS & LIGHTS OWNER/OPERATOR

THE COVID-19 AFFECTED MY WORK!!!OUR WORK!!!

They cancelled all kinds of EVENTS...birthdays, weddings, Graduation, Fiestas and other social gatherings which may have contact with people. Our work is greatly affected by this pandemic. There are NO clients who want to hire our services in the coming months, even after this ECQ due to fear of the virus and due to government mandated safety measures.

As an EVENT PERSONNEL, we are able to provide food on the table, humble home for my Family, provide for our basic needs, pay the household bills and some quite few savings in the bank. Me and some of my Friends rely on this job to support our families, not until this PANDEMIC came and everything changed. 😢Few cancelled events in March and a lot came after before April started. As early as now I have advised my clients to adjust the dates of their events since we don't know when will this pandemic end.

It felt like a bucket of cold water splashed on our backs, and now I am beginning to doubt.

- What will happen?
- How long will it last? What shall we do?
- How can our families survive?

All that remains is we keep hoping and praying, that WE, in the Event Industry, will always survive and will get through this.

EVENT PERSONNELS are the ones who bring joy, the fun, the magic, the stories and unforgettable moments and even inspiration to our audience and our clients. We bring life to the party! AND WE ARE ALSO AFFECTED OF THIS PANDEMIC... not just the regular employees of a company.. not only the business owners.. not only the frontliners.. not only the fortunate
WE ARE ALSO PART OF THOSE IN NEED OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AT THE MOMENT and yet, the government is just choosing who to give assistance to...we are TAXPAYERS TOO!!! We have contribution to the money you used to give aide to people...why are we being neglected?? I may not be speaking for myself but for my crews working for me. I understand that as an employer I should be responsible for the welfare of my people as well, however I also have limited resources since no income is coming in.

If you belong in the event industry, copy and paste it in your wall....... with affection for our authorities, to give adequate policies so that we will be given the same benefits that some other have.

Hope Nature will bless all of us and for this pandemic to end soon. 🙏🙏🙏
