K Brosas won Legal Case Against Contractor

On February 14, 2025, K Brosas won a legal case against a contractor who abandoned her home construction project after receiving PHP 7 million. The project, which began in 2017, was left 35% incomplete by 2019. Despite repeated attempts to resolve the issue, the contractor ceased work and became unresponsive.

Brosas filed a complaint in September 2021, and after three years, the court ruled in her favor in February 2025, holding the contractor accountable for abandoning the project and misappropriating funds. Brosas, facing emotional and financial distress, hired a new contractor to complete her home.

The case highlights the importance of due diligence, clear contracts, and ethical business practices in the construction industry. It serves as a reminder for both homeowners and contractors to maintain transparency and uphold legal agreements.
