INTERVIEW
I just want to share my journey with this client. I had a scheduled interview for a Lead Generation Manager role. The interview lasted for an hour and included 10 different scenarios, questions about how I would build lists, what processes I’d follow, the right parameters and ICPs, which tools to use, and more. I’ll be honest, it was complicated and challenging. There were scenarios I couldn’t even answer. I started to lose hope, my confidence took a hit, and I began to doubt myself.
I felt this way because I truly want to get this job, not just for me, but for my 14 “angels,” my VAs, who need work. Our previous campaign was paused, and that meant 14 people suddenly found themselves without jobs. So I’ve been doing everything I can to close this deal.
At the end of the interview, the client said he’d think about it and get back to me later in the day. I felt discouraged because I knew I didn’t meet all his expectations.
But then, fast forward, I received an email saying he’s willing to move forward and give me a chance. He offered a paid 5-day trial, and if it goes well, he’ll hire me full-time. 🙏
There’s a light of hope. I believe the Lord was testing me, to see if I would give in to doubt or continue to trust Him, even when it felt like someone was telling me, “Give up already. You can’t do it.”
So now, I will give it my all. I’m going to do my best to turn this into a full-time role, not just for me, but for my 14 VAs who are counting on this too.
