The Embassy of Japan in the Philippines confirms that the temporary visitor visa for Filipinos remains free.

The clarification comes after the Japanese government decided to raise single-entry visa fees for foreigners beginning in July.

Effective June 25, Filipinos with a valid visa, residence permit, or Green Card issued by the USA, European Union states, Australia, Japan, Singapore, Republic of Korea, Canada, and New Zealand will be eligible for visa-on-arrival for travel to the UAE, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) announces.
